- '97 Domaine de Chevalier -Pessac-Leognan Pieroth
Japan K.K. 7,400 yen
70% Sauvignon, 30% Semillon
A rival to Haut Brion, it is unquestionably one of the
finest white Graves. It characteristically has the
pronounced herbaceous aromas of Sauvignon Blanc, with
decisive oak accents when young. Almost fat, these wines
are simply brimming with exotic flavors. Its impressive
ability to age allows it to develop a great complexity
and richness over time.
- '97 Chateau Smith Haut-Lafite -Pessac-Leognan Pieroth
Japan K.K. 5,500 yen

Stunning and complex, this is the white wine of La
Mission. It is one of the finest dry, full bodied white
Bordeaux's. Traditionally big, buttery and lemony,
capturing the exotic richness only associated with top
white Burgundy's. It is plumper and bolder versus Haut
Brion Blanc though perhaps less elegant. It has
remarkable staying power needing 10 years or more in top
vintages.

aromatic elegant, fruity and fresh becoming more refined
and complex as they age.
