The last tasting of The Tokyo Wine Society was held at the Restaurant on 14th Floor of Hotel Francs, Makuhari, with wine from John's cellar. Such as Bellinger, is John's favorite for 90's, Ch St. Jean is Wine Spectator Wine of the Year in 1998, Ch Quinault L'Enclos is another one of his favorite for unfined-unfiltered-no pesticides-organic-physician made, Downing Family is a newcomer he claims, and many more with outstanding charactors.
However, tonight was turned out to be a Zinfandel night. Zin had 1-2 finish. Cape Mentelle Zin, he said, is hard one to get, so he brought it in for a treat. Carlisle was the second, but had 1/3 of attendees selected this as the first. Well, John. I thought you were the pauillac lover. Are you seeing somebody else these days?
