TOKYO WINE SOCIETY TASTING

Southern All Stars

March 25, 2005

@

The place held: the Restaurant Budo-ya located in OAG House - the German Cultural Institute.
Theme: A battle of Southern Hemisphere Red Wines - Australia, South America and South Africa. All three regions are renowned for great drinking wines offering great cost performance.
Sellected by: Kevin, Monty and Mark.

Comments:
One bottle of Wine F was bad. and that might have effected the result.
Italian Bordeaux type wine was included as a odd ball, but it did not do as we had expected.
The most preferred wine tonight was from South Africa, and the worst wine was also from South Africa. Australia wines are in the Third to sixth. Australian wines are stable in quality about price range of 3000yen. You may get great wine from South African wine, but you still have to take some risk to go for it.
