TOKYO WINE SOCIETY TASTING

Chardonnay

March 16, 2018

Chardonnay originated in the Burgundy wine region of eastern France, but is now grown wherever wine is produced. Chardonnay wines have different flavors influenced by terroir, use of oak, and other factors, such as where the grapes are grown, in cold weather or warm location. Nowadays most of Chardonnay wine is made with malolactic fermentation and that makes some difference too.
We tasted these Chardonnay to see which region we prefer the most, with the cellar master put “Panamera” of California as an odd ball.

Venue: La Goccia Tokyo, at Shirokanedai
