Japanese White Wine

The last tasting was held at the Restaurant Bon Chere at Shampia Hotel Akasaka on 17th of July. We tried tasting focused to Japanese wine this time with grapes made 100% in Japan. The grapes we could find were mostly Koshu and Chardonnay.
I actually did not think Japanese wine would be a good idea, but it turned out to be not-so-bad tasting. It became Chardonnay vs Koshu in Japan. Chardonnay beated Koshu. Wine D, Chardonnay, had 2/3 of us to select as 1st for tonight. Including two 2nds, this wine is true winner for tonight.
But some Koshu did good job as well. Wine F had gained two 1st . and wine H became 3rd for tonight. It is more than we have expected as the charactor of Koshu is "Mild" in every aspect. It showed firm body and well balanced acidity and sweetness. I believe it has reached the time we can try these Japanese wine to compare world-widely.
