TOKYO WINE SOCIETY TASTING
German Pinot Noir / Spatburgunder (TWS198th tasting)
April 28, 2017
|
In Germany, the area of Pinot Noir cultivation is almost 12,000 hectares, and that makes the third largest producer of this variety in the world. As with Riesling, Pinot Noir prefers cool climates so German wine regions are well-suited to its production. Actually PN was brought to Germany from Burgundy as early as the 14th century. We tasted vertical of them, with other wines to compare. |
